Why the hell are you doing this?

Fantastic cause and opportunity to give something back. The nature of my job does not allow me enough time to devote to this type of event, so it's great we have the opportunity to make a difference. I also think it's something to be proud of and tell the kids about!!

Who / what is your inspiration?

I think it has to be the children who we are supporting through this great charity. My inspiration is getting through the event and helping to raise as much for the charity as we possibly can.

What will be the hardest part of the journey?

Days 4,5,6 and 7. A few reasons, I think once the adrenaline and excitement wears off we're going to have to rely on each other for morale support, especially if the weather's cr8p. Secondly, I think I'll miss my family, but it would be good to see them at somepoint during the ride.

What will you do at the finish line?

Have a stiff drink. Hopefully, they'll be plenty of single malt scotch available that David Muir has organised for us!

Will you ever get on a bike again?

Probably, but not on a Turbo Trainer!
