Why the hell are you doing this?

I havent got a clue, if I'd thought about it longer than 5 seconds I'd have probably said No. I dont particularly like riding bikes and i've no real interest in cycling through inner-city Bristol wearing lycra shorts. Maybe its to bore my grandkids in 40 years time....

Who / what is your inspiration?

Despite chronic laziness and a beer belly I'm physically capable of doing this (just). Lots of people dont have that luxury but achieve much more than I ever will. So they're my inspiration.

What will be the hardest part of the journey?

Starting each day sobbing on the end of my bed, knowing my poor arse has to get back on that saddle.

What will you do at the finish line?

Find the nearest B&Q, buy the largest lump hammer in stock, introduce it to my bike. smile.

Will you ever get on a bike again?

Only at the top of a hill.
