Well, at the time it sounded like a good idea over a glass of champagne with Dave, that and the fact it will be a unique experience for me.

Who / what is your inspiration?

I recently read about Henry Morton Stanley and his epic journey to discover the where abouts of a famous Scot, David Livingstone, what he went through makes this trip looks like a walk in the park! So I suppose I was looking for some adventure and I could think of no better cause to support. Also my wife has ridden Wales to Scotland and I feel the need at long last to go one better!!!

What will be the hardest part of the journey?

Getting every day and facing another day looking at the tarmac and the back of someone;s tyres, that and hoping my body doesn't pack up before the end!!

What will you do at the finish line?

Heading straight for the nearest bar whilst phoning my wife and son!

Will you ever get on a bike again?

Not unless it has a CC and a soft seat!!
